Day 3: Yum

Have I ever told you that I absolutely adore food? Well, I do.

I've been craving French toast for a while now and this morning I realized that conditions were finally perfect for a French toast dinner.

So, we had French toast with whipped cream and strawberries for dinner. Along with edamame and applesauce. We are SO healthy around here.

And that was my Joyful Moment.

It helped that everyone else loves French toast, whipped cream, strawberries, edamame, and applesauce. So, I didn't hear, "I don't like this!". Not even once. Instead I heard, "Yahoo!" and "This smells good!" and "Sommore please!"

Music to my ears.

Actually, my ears were treated with real music at the end of the meal when the kids spontaneously burst into a rousing rendition of "I've Been Working on the Railroad." Thus making my Joyful Moment 110% complete.

It was wonderful. May each of your bellies and ears be as satisfied as mine were tonight. That is my wish.

I hope your wishes come true. :)

My first joyful event was getting out of bed after 7 a.m. That hardly ever happens. And I got to spend this entire day with Roger and that also hardly ever happens. And we've enjoyed every single minute and activity of our day. Who has it better than me today?!

Thanks for helping me think about the joys in my life. I'm enjoying this immensely. And sorry we missed the phone call this morning. love you!

I would have never thought to put together french toast, edamame, and applesauce. :)

My joyful moment was having the sun stay out all day so that we could go on a nature hike with some friends and "clean" the garage.

I've never had edamame, I've heard that it's good, however. I love that you got a good response from your family from this meal. It's always a joy to make other happy through a service like cooking.

My joy today was going for a run with my hubby. We do it once a week and it is a lot of fun.

Thanks for sharing your joys!!!

Women's Conference! There is simply too much to say in a little comment box, but I learned so much about myself and was reminded that Heavenly Father knows and loves me....and I was able to invite a non-member friend to come along with me and she excepted! It was really cool.
