Day 622: Under 10

Today was a GREAT day.

Seriously.

I started things off really early.  That part was not so great.  But the cause was.  I was able to go to a meeting with Rosemary M. Wixom up in the Big City.  She oversees the teaching and care of all of the children (ages 18 months to 12 years) in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  It was an amazing experience.  I learned a lot and felt the Spirit very strongly.  More than anything, what I learned will help me to be a better mommy and I'm always grateful for inspiration in that arena.

Then I hurried back to my town, caught up with HH and the kids to do a quick delivery for Meals on Wheels, and then headed to the PUMPKIN RUN!!!

The Pumpkin Run is a fun race they put on for all of the elementary schools in the area.  It's a really big deal.  It was an even bigger deal this year because... Sweet P asked me to run with her.  I was flattered and honored and down right thrilled.

And then she kept holding my hand all throughout the race.  So sweet.

And we finished it in just under 10 minutes!  I could not be more proud of her!  She was tired, but she dug deep and pushed it in.

Ah, so many Joyful Moments for me!

And then I picked some carrots for the salad we had at dinner.  These were just a few of the fun growths we discovered.

In case you're in serious need of a Joyful Moment.

Because who doesn't get a Joyful Moment from crazy carrots?

Wishing you all Joyful Moments that are NOT scraping the bottom of the barrel!

I love funny carrots. Yours kind of remind me of hands; strange hands I know, but hands just the same. Great job on the race you cuties - Did you win a pumpkin?

My joys today - redoing a Provo Temple picture that I botched last weekend and having this one turn out - YEA! Then running some much needed errands. And finally, accompanying my HH to Jordanelle for one last sailing on this semi warm day. He was frozen after going in the lake though. And I was super joyful that I had stayed in the car. :) I finished a book I've been reading and a baby cap that I was making to help with an Eagle Scout project. So it was a great day for me. Thanks for letting me share.

We did not get a pumpkin, but she did get a pumpkin cup! And I want to see the baby cap!

I already turned in the TWO, yes TWO caps I made! But they were super easy so I'll make another to show you. :)
