Day 633: Well-Visits

Today was one of those days that was just one thing straight into the next thing and then into the next.  But it was doable, so I really can't complain.

It involved two doctor's visits.  One regular check up for Baby B.  I've been pretty worried about his eating lately.  Namely, his lack of eating.  He hasn't gained much, but apparently, he's gained enough.  Mostly, because he grew about 2 inches I think.  Fortunately, the pediatrician only had comforting words to say about his unwillingness to eat anything after 10 AM.

So, he got a clean bill of health.  Which is always a Joyful Moment for a mama.

The second visit was with Sweet P's pediatric ENT, as a follow-up to her summer surgeries.  She was also given a clean bill of health.  Given that the kid was congested constantly (I mean, seriously, it was a continuous bout with congestion) from the age of 2 up until her surgery, this was another Joyful Moment. We've already been reaping the benefits of the success of the surgery, but it was good to hear that upon deeper inspection, she still looked really good.

Huge sigh of relief.

Of course, it would have been nice if I could have gotten that news (which took all of five minutes of face time with the doctor) without driving an hour and 15 minutes each way and then waiting 40 minutes to see said doctor.

But, that's the price you pay to not live in a big city, but still have access to excellent pediatric specialists.

So be it.

Wishing you all Joyful Moments that don't require more than two hours of driving!

Emily also pretty much only eats breakfast. It's nice to hear she's not the only one. :)

Christy, I'm sorry you're dealing with that, too! If it's any consolation, there really aren't many things that any of my children have gone through that some other child hasn't gone through. And somehow, they all survive!

CONGRATS on the good news from DRs and on surviving the long drives and long wait without getting a bad attitude!

My JM was getting everything that absolutely had to be done on my long list checked off. And then suddenly having time to see the dentist about an emergency before we leave for 5 days. A sweet and tender mercy.
